Pinterest has put together an interactive holiday calendar from celebrity pinners, non-profits and brands to inspire 30 days of DIY projects, gift ideas and charitable ways to give back. But hidden on the page is a surprise Easter Egg -- a concept made famous by Google.
After visiting the 30 Days of Pinspiration page, click one of the floating icons at the top. Some Mashable staffers were able to identify the Easter Egg almost immediately, while others clicked away for a good few minutes before being treated to the surprise.
Although it's not the most innovative Easter Egg we've seen before, the silliness factor will make you smile. To give it a try, click here.
Not surprisingly, Pinterest said searches for crafting projects and recipes, especially cookies, have skyrocketed in the past few weeks. The term "Christmas" started to rank among the highest on the site starting the last week of October, almost nine weeks before the holiday. Meanwhile, Thanksgiving-related inquiries only topped searches for three weeks.
