Somebody get this guy a Camelbak, stat!
U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) was a little thirstier than he anticipated during his fired-up response to President Barack Obama's State of the Union address Tuesday.
After stealing a quick, yet somewhat awkward nip of water from a fun-sized bottle off-camera, Twitter users were quick to comment:
And the camera pulls back, revealing a room full of people refusing to hand Rubio water— Mike Nizza (@mikenizza) February 13, 2013
Just imagine if Rubio was allowed to drink water before speaking. Nothing could stop him.— michaelscherer (@michaelscherer) February 13, 2013
Been on DVR delay and just saw the Rubio water grab. Best thing of the night, or ever.— Kyle Veazey (@kyleveazey) February 13, 2013
Who do you think is going to get to play Marco Rubio in SNL's inevitable water break sketch? Fred Armisen or Taran Killam?— Kyle Munzenrieder (@Munzenrieder) February 13, 2013
Time magazine called Rubio the Republican savior. Saviors walk on water, Rubio seems to have trouble even drinking some...— Erik Telford (@BlameTelford) February 13, 2013
The term "Poland Spring," in reference to the bottled-water company, was trending on the social media site within minutes.
This Poland Spring ad is terrible.— Brian McFadden (@BigFatWhale) February 13, 2013
Yo, Poland Spring's product placement game crushes whatever brand of water y'all bang with. Get ya life right, Dasani. #watergate— Gene Demby (G.D.) (@GeeDee215) February 13, 2013
Will Poland Spring deliver a response speech to Rubio's response speech?— allisonkilkenny (@allisonkilkenny) February 13, 2013
