Samsung Galaxy S IV Rumored to Be Announced on March 14

Samsung's upcoming flagship Android smartphone, the Galaxy S IV, will be announced on March 14, several outlets claim citing unspecified sources.

First, Mobile-review's Eldar Murtazin said on Twitter that a "big announcement" is coming March 14. SamMobile and The Verge independently confirmed with their forces that Samsung is indeed planning to launch several devices on that date, including the Galaxy S IV.

The details about the device should be taken with a grain of salt, but they reportedly include an Exynos 5 8-core processor, a 4.99'' Full HD screen, 2GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel camera and Android 4.2.2.

The unveiling is said to be taking place in New York. With HTC's big event taking place in New York and London today at 10am ET, it seems that this year the heavy-hitters have chosen to show off their best wares around instead of during the Mobile World Congress, which is taking place in Barcelona, Feb. 25-28.
