From host Seth MacFarlane singing about actress' bare chests to Jennifer Lawrence's major fall while accepting her award, the 85th Annual Academy Awards on Sunday night did not disappoint.
Sure, the event honored the very best talent in film today, but viewers were also treated to some unexpected moments, including these quirky pictures taken backstage. But the biggest shocker of the night was the plunge Lawrence made while accepting her not-so-surprising win for Best Actress in a Leading Role.
Another unpredictable moment was director Ang Lee's win for Life of Pi -- an award many thought would go to Steven Spielberg for Lincoln. There were a few milestones too: It was the first time a Kickstarter-funded film ever won an Oscar, and the first time a James Bond movie ever won for Best Song, thanks to Adele.
What's more, First Lady Michelle Obama presented the award for Best Picture, which went to Argo (actor-director Ben Affleck accepted the award with an emotional acceptance speech). Who knew the FLOTUS and her new bangs would be there?
"I stood out in front of you ... and who knew I would be back here?" Affleck said, referring to his first Oscar win for Good Will Hunting in 1997.
A lot of the best moments happened before the show, too, such as an award-winning photobomb from Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and a best-dressed win for Jennifer Lawrence, as voted by Twitter.
Tech companies, including Apple and Samsung, also treated viewers to new ads.
Missed the show? You can stream the Oscars for the first time ever, starting Monday at 6:00 a.m. ET for free on ABC.com, the ABC app player, Hulu and Hulu Plus. The show will be available until Wednesday, February 27 at midnight.
