What You Missed at the Tails and Rails Hackathon

If you weren't at the #TailsandRails pet-friendly hackathon over the weekend, you sure missed a tail-waggin' good time. Held at New York's Soho Grand Hotel, Mashable and Purina collaborated to bring together tech enthusiasts who want to build a better life for their furry friends.

Seven teams of hackers competed for pet app glory, but only three walked away winners at the end of the night, the ultimate winner being KittyBalls. The winners were selected by our esteemed judging panel:

Pete Cashmore, Founder and CEO of Mashable

Gordan Wade, Director of Marketing at Purina

Ginnie Seigel, Senior Manager at Petcentric

Brian Morrissey, Editor in Chief at Digiday
