Where 1.5 Million Fashionistas Go to Share Their Pics

Los Angeles based startup Pose is like an interactive fashion magazine, according to co-founder Alisa Gould-Simon. But what really makes Pose unique is its content -- it's all user-generated.

Often referred to as the "Instagram of fashion," Pose users tag their photos with names of brands, items of clothing and other specific details, from the color of nail polish, to Rebecca Minkoff MAB.

With more than 1.5 million users, Pose has about 10,000 pictures uploaded per day to its platform. So the company has to put a lot of its efforts into keeping the most up-to-date software. "We've invested more in our technology and our team," Gould-Simon shares on this episode of the Valley Girl Show.

Jesse Draper is creator and host of The Valley Girl Show, through which she's become a spokesperson for startups and helped pioneer the way of new media content distribution. Formerly a Nickelodeon star, Draper is now CEO of Valley Girl, where she oversees the show and runs technology blog Lalawag.com.
