'Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag' Trailer Leaks, Reveals Release Date

A leaked trailer of Assassin's Creed IV confirmed the video game's release date after surfacing online Saturday.

Although it doesn't showcase any in-game footage, the trailer introduces protagonist Captain Edward Kenway aboard a pirate ship, doing what assassins do best. Watch the video, above, for lots of action and mysterious references to the new character's background.

The world-premiere trailer for Assassin's Creed IV was set to debut Monday, according to Ubisoft's official countdown site, but the leaked video made its way around the web early Saturday.

It reveals that the game will be available for purchase on Oct. 29, and is coming on next-gen consoles.

First leaked on GamesRadar's YouTube channel, the original video has since been taken down -- but not before other channels had the chance to pick it up.
