Samsung's next generation smartphone -- the Galaxy S IV -- could include an eye scrolling feature, making it easier for users to read text, hands free.
The New York Times is reporting the smartphone, which will launch on March 14 in New York City, will be able to sense the eyes' placement on a page. When it tracks eye movement near the bottom of the screen, the software will scroll down to reveal more paragraphs.
A Samsung employee also told the publication software will be the star of the new device, more so than hardware.
The concept of eye scrolling doesn't come as a complete surprise. The manufacturer has previously shown interest in the technology when it filed for a Samsung Eye Scroll" trademark in February, as well as a patent for "Eye Pause."
Samsung is already teasing the Galaxy S IV with a promotional teaser video, referring to it as "one of the most amazing products to hit the market since TVs went color."
Rumors indicate that the device will tout an Exynos 5 8-core processor, 2GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel camera and run on Android 4.2.2.
