Greetings from Willow Road and Hacker Way in Menlo Park, Calif. on a grey Thursday morning -- the unassuming setting for what looks set to be the most significant change to Facebook in more than a year.
"Come see a new look for News Feed," read the invites that went out last week. The latest rumors suggest that the News Feed as you know it -- that familiar stream of information from friends and family -- is about to be divided into a whole new set of formats.
The News Feed options may include a Photo-only feed that will showcase Instagrams and other uploads, and a music feed that tells you what all your friends are listening to. All of this is expected to introduce more of what Facebook needs to keep shareholders happy: ads.
Will the rumors pan out? What else is in store for your News Feed? And will you recognize Facebook by the end of the day? Stick around -- the event starts here at 1pm ET, 10am Pacific, and I'll be blogging live from the scene.
