TiVo has launched its TiVo Mini extender, which enables you to watch TiVo content in another TV in your house, for $99.99.
The box lets you watch live TV and recorded shows from the TiVo DVR, as well as access movies and music from Hulu Plus, Pandora, YouTube and Spotify. You can also schedule recordings, pause, fast forward and rewind both live TV and recordings, and start a show in one room and finish it in another.
There are some drawbacks as well -- TiVo Mini doesn't work with TiVo Premiere or Premiere XL, and it requires a wired connection.
Also, the price is $99.99 plus a monthly subscription charge of $5.99, or a one-off payment of $149.99. So, if you're not into subscriptions, the device will actually cost you a formidable $250.
