A hacker or a team of hackers has posted what they claim is the personal information of First Lady Michelle Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, singer Beyonce and other politicians and celebrities.
Obama and Biden's personal data included credit history and home addresses, while other files, including those of Beyonce and FBI director Robert Mueller, featured social security numbers or financial records.
The hackers posted the information at a a webpage registered with a Russian domain, exposed.su. Here's the page for U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder, which Mashable has partially redacted for privacy reasons:
The website links to a Twitter account, @exposedsu, which introduces Exposed as a hacker group "with a few tricks up its sleeve," per a Google translation from the original Russian.
The FBI is investigating at least the leak of Mueller's data and the LAPD is doing the same for its police chief, they told USA Today.
