Samsung Galaxy S 4 Coming in April

The new Samsung Galaxy S 4, which was unveiled in New York City on Thursday night, will be coming in April.

The company announced during a very theatrical event held at Radio City Music Hall the latest smartphone to its lineup. Samsung did not specify any details on pricing, but carriers on board are AT&T, Verizon and Sprint.

The 5-inch device comes with what Samsung calls the first full HD Super AMOLED display (1920x1080). The smartphone weighs in at 4.6 oz. and boasts a quad-core 1.9GHz Snapdragon 600 in the U.S. (8-core 1.8GHz Exnyos 5 Octa elsewhere).

It runs on Android 4.2.2. Jelly Bean and comes with various storage options, including 16GB, 32GB or 64GB +microSD slot.

Its camera functionality is among the most impressive new features. Thanks to a 13-megapixel rear camera, the Galaxy S 4 features a "‘Dual Camera" function that allows simultaneous use of both front and rear cameras, as well as a "Dual Video Call" function.
