Google Turns Your Favorite Website Into Smartphone-Controlled 3D Maze

A Google Chrome Experiment turns your favorite webpage into a smartphone-controlled maze.

Appropriately called World Wide Maze, playing the game simply requires you to have Chrome installed on both your computer and your smartphone. Once your phone and computer are paired together (something you’ve likely already done if you’re a Chrome user), then all you need to do is enter a special URL, select your website gameboard of choice, and start playing.

The game board will appear on your computer’s web browser, and is controlled by the tilt of your smartphone. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to navigate your favorite page and collect gems along the way.

We gave the game a try on the Mashable site and have to say it’s a lot of fun. Mashable in particular was divided up into several different levels, which offers a unique perspective of the site, and made for a pretty interesting trip through the maze.

Take a look at Mashable in maze form in the gallery below.
