NFL Legend Tweets Justin Bieber 'Needs to Slow His Ass Down'

Featuring Justin Bieber, an NFL Hall of Famer, a Ferrari, a Prius, neighborly discord and -- of course -- Twitter, this is Tuesday's strangest story.

We start with a mid-morning tweet from Eric Dickerson, who is regarded as one of the greatest NFL running backs of all time and a 1999 inductee into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Long since retired, Dickerson now resides in the tony Southern California suburb of Calabasas.

Calabasas is also, as it happens, home to the Biebster. And the 19-year-old Bieber's driving style has apparently rubbed some of his older neighbors the wrong way, as evidenced by Dickerson's Tuesday morning post:

I live in Calabasas too and @justinbieber needs to slow his ass down.— Eric Dickerson (@EricDickerson) May 28, 2013

Dickerson's curmudgeonly tweet didn't come out of the blue. He was actually backing up Keyshawn Johnson, another former NFL star and Calabasas resident also apparently fed up with how Bieber cruises around the neighborhood.

A Tuesday morning TMZ report said Johnson, driving a Prius, hunted the Ferrari-driving Bieber down in hopes of delivering a little lecture about traffic safety. It's difficult to explain this rationally, so we'll just leave three choice paragraphs from the TMZ story right here:

Keyshawn -- a former NFL superstar -- had just left a party Monday night inside of his exclusive gated community in Calabasas (with his child in the car), when Bieber zoomed by in his Ferrari at breakneck speeds.

We're told Keyshawn was furious -- feeling Justin could've killed someone -- so he brought his kid home, then chased after the singer in his Prius (yes, a Prius chasing a Ferrari).

When KJ got to Bieber's pad -- he blocked Justin's Ferrari in the driveway and got out of his car to confront Justin face-to-face ... but Justin ran inside of his house and refused to come out.

Bieber may have escaped the reported in-person scolding from Johnson, but Dickerson still wasn't done with him. Four hours after his original finger-wagging tweet, the Hall of Famer posted this followup:

Hey @justinbieber I use to have a white Ferrari too, but I knew the speed limit in neighborhoods where kids played. twitter.com/EricDickerson/…— Eric Dickerson (@EricDickerson) May 28, 2013

And there you have it. Only on Twitter, folks. Only on Twitter.
