Directioners -- the loyal legion of One Direction fans -- helped the boy band's new "Best Song Ever" video shatter Vevo's record for most views in a 24-hour time span.
People watched the off-the-wall video 12.3 million times on Vevo.com, Vevo apps, Xbox, Roku and YouTube in the daylong period after it debuted Monday.
Vevo confirmed the new record Tuesday. "Best Song Ever" dethroned "We Can't Stop" from Miley Cyrus, who knocked off Justin Bieber's "Beauty and the Beat" in June.
