The Anti-Snapchat: App Saves Sent Pics and Videos

You may want to think twice about sending that pic or video over Snapchat.

A new $1.99 app from Sepia Software called Screenshot Save for Snapchat does exactly what it promises -- it keeps those potentially embarrassing images on hand forever. In Sepia's description, "Screenshot Save lets you view all unopened Snapchat photos and videos for as long as you want, and save them to your device for easy sharing with friends!" Snapchat messages typically go away within 10 seconds.

Reps from Sepia could not be reached for comment on the company's motivation for the app.

If Screenshot Save for Snapchat gains wide currency though, it could present a challenge for Snapchat, which reported in June that its users now share 200 million "snaps" or messages a day. The company is also said to be valued at around $800 million.
