The Moto X Unboxed

Motorola and Google were kind enough to give us a review unit of the Moto X, so we did the requisite unboxing.

As phone boxes go, the Moto X's is fairly standard. That's sort of disappointing -- if only because customization is so firmly rooted in the Moto X story. After all, this is a phone that may soon have a wooden back option.

Still, it was nice to see such a clean design, uncluttered design free from any significant carrier branding. Inside we have the phone, the standard array of accessories and a SIM extractor.

One nice feature: the USB charger has two USB ports. That means you can charge two devices at once. The charger doesn't output enough power to charge a phone and a tablet, but you could easily charge two phones or a phone and e-reader.

Be sure to check out our hands-on with the Moto X and see how this smartphone stacks up to the competition.
