Sitting tight for a new iPhone launch before upgrading? You might have only three weeks left to wait.
The Wall Street Journal reports that Apple will start shipping both high- and low-end iPhone models in "early September." Citing sources familiar with the matter, the publication said Apple supplier Hon Hair Precision has been asked to ready iPhone shipments for a date in the first half of next month.
This is in line with rumors that the next-generation iPhone (dubbed the iPhone 5S) -- and a less pricey version -- would be announced on Sept. 10. If both debut on the same day, it would be the first time for Apple to unveil two separate iPhone devices at once.
Other rumors indicate the next iPhone could come in gold and even tout a fingerprint scanner.
