That raunchy madness and her teddy bear-infused solo of "We Can't Stop," earned the ex-Disney star the title of most-mentioned VMAs guest on Twitter.
Miley's antics generated 4.5 million mentions during the VMAs' East Coast broadcast alone, Twitter told Mashable. She trumped Justin Timberlake (2.9 million mentions), Lady Gaga (1.9 million), Drake (1.6 million) and Kanye West (1 million), who all took turns lighting up the stage.
Cyrus and Thicke's performance (watch below) inside Brooklyn's Barclays Center also snagged the peak tweets-per-minute moment with 306,100 -- more than the viral blackout moment from the 2013 Super Bowl, which sparked 231,000 TPM at its peak.
