The video above shows a mesmerizing Messi flip book created in painstaking detail by a soccer super fan. Featuring original illustrations and providing a minute of uninterrupted animation, the book recreates some of Messi's best highlights with FC Barcelona and the Argentine national team.

YouTube user etoilec1 made the crafty little tribute and, while impressed, we have to agree with commenter 19StarNinja91, who astutely asks: "how many years took you to make this LOL"
All the hard work paid off, however; it's an incredible little toy and the video has become a hit online, with more 400,000 views since Monday.
