Ring Clock: One LED Finger-Mounted Watch to Rule Them All

Sometimes a piece of technology comes along that may not solve a major problem in our lives, but is nevertheless magical in its execution and simplicity. Such is the case with the Ring Clock.

Designed by Gusztav Szikszai, the device does exactly what the name indicates: it allows you to get the current time from a ring on your finger.

The ring features either blue or orange LEDs that glow through its stainless steel frame to reveal the current time on the ring, offering the kind of effect seen in Lord of the Rings, but in real-life.

The project was launched as an Indiegogo campaign in August, with a $287,500 goal that the team quickly blew past, ultimately garnering $324,595, as of this writing.

Powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, the early adopter price for the Ring Clock is $195, after which it will retail for $250.

The first batch of rings are scheduled to be delivered in April of 2014, but in the meantime you can get an early look at the device in the video above.
