It's hard out there for a brand. On Twitter, that is.
The 230 million-strong Twitter community isn't exactly known for being exceptionally welcoming to brand accounts, often ridiculing attempts at advertising and "hijacking" branded hashtags. But some brands have found a way to navigate the mine field of social media promotion: humor.
A growing number of brand accounts are catching on to the fact that, when it comes to advertising, brevity works. These accounts are quickly amassing a large group of followers that come to them for jokes more than products.
