10 Things You Never Knew About 'A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving'

For many families, the only football involved in Thanksgiving traditions comes from a blockhead in a yellow sweater falling for the same trick once again. It's been 40 years since A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving made its way onto the screen and into our hearts, and it still manages to remind us of the true meaning of holidays.

While some of us prepare to watch the special for the tenth or hundredth time, newcomers will experience its sweet humor without realizing that they are also learning a lot about the legendary cartoonist behind the characters, Charles Schulz.

Whether you're a longtime, devoted fan to the Peanuts gang, or just beginning to relate to Charlie Brown's antics, there is always something that you might not have noticed.

In honor of the special's milestone, Mashable received a little trivia session from Peanuts Worldwide.

Watch out for the Easter eggs when the special airs Thursday on ABC.
