Vote for Your Favorite Movie of 2013

At a time when online streaming is more commonplace than ever, 2013 was a great reminder that there's still something to be said for going to see a film in theaters.

Gravity held audiences breathless, shattering box office records along the way, and fans lined up for Hunger Games: Catching Fire with such fervor that it stole the Thanksgiving weekend box office record from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. Films such as 12 Years a Slave and Fruitvale Station handled difficult subject matters with grace, and animated hits Despicable Me 2 and Frozen provided laughter and delight for audiences of all ages.

We rounded up 30 of the year's most captivating films in the poll below. Vote for your favorites to help us determine the best movie of 2013, and tell us why in the comments. You can vote for up to five movies, but if you don't see your choice feel free to add your vote in the comments. The poll will remain open all week, and we'll reveal the results Dec. 18.

Note: While August: Osage County, Her and The Wolf of Wall Street have attracted critical acclaim, they are not included in the poll because they will be be released after our poll closes. American Hustle and Saving Mr. Banks will be out Dec. 13 before the poll closes.
