Out of all the optimistic people starting their new year's resolutions, the ones vowing to get back in shape and lose that holiday weight are always at the top of the list.

But of course, that's no easy task. First, you have to force yourself to even go to the gym, only to be greeted by a sea of medieval devices sent to torture you -- or at least, that's what they feel like.

According to data we received from SessionM, a loyalty rewards program used by several mobile fitness apps, only 41 percent of people who resolved to get fit in 2013 actually followed through with their goal. Most quit after just a few weeks.

It's a tough hill to climb, especially if your idea of "climbing" is the two steps into your living room and onto your couch. To help boost your morale, we found some people who might struggle with this whole fitness thing more than you.
