Sunday's Olympic medal events ushered in another speed-skating sweep for the Netherlands (the nation's third in 2014, this time in women's 1,500-meter event) and a touching moment for American favorite Bode Miller in alpine skiing super-G.

Miller, who lost his younger brother over the summer, said the emotions of the day affected his performance. Nevertheless, the 36-year-old gold medal contender, who came away with a bronze, became the oldest Alpine skier to ever win an Olympic medal.

"To hang onto a medal today, I feel really lucky and very fortunate," Miller told reporters of his third-place tie, according to Reuters.

Sweden's victory in the men's cross-country 4 x 10km relay complimented their women's win in 4 x 5km relay yesterday. That wrapped up the event, leaving no more cross-country relays for the Swedes or anyone else to win.
