The Malaysia Star, one of the country's major news publications, ran a front page cover in tribute to the 239 people on board Malaysia Airlines flight 370, just one day after authorities declared that the jetliner plunged into the ocean.

Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Rajak said in a press conference on Monday that flight 370 "ended" in the Indian Ocean, effectively squashing speculation that survivors could still be alive. Shortly after, the families of the victims received a now-infamous text message saying their loved ones were dead. In return, the families of some of the victims issued a scathing statement, calling Malaysian authorities "executioners" and accusing them of murder.

On Tuesday, Chinese relatives of Chinese passengers on flight 370 continued their protest and clashed with police officers outside the Malaysia embassy in Beijing, where they threw plastic water bottles, tried to rush the gate and chanted, "Liars!"

Meanwhile, Malaysia's other major newspaper, The Sun, dedicated its front page to the families of the flight 370 victims, with the headline, "No Survivors."

Although search efforts were suspended on Tuesday due to inclement weather, Malaysia and China say they're not letting up on the hunt for wreckage from MH370.
