For those uninitiated to the modern NBA, Nick Young is a flashy scoring guard for the Los Angeles Lakers. He's also something of a character and goes by the self-anointed nickname "Swaggy P" (just where the "P" comes from is unclear).

As the clock wound down in the third quarter of the Lakers' blowout win over the New York Knicks, Young tried a buzzer-beating jumper to punctuate the domination. It looked good. It felt good. Wait, it gets better: After the game, Young explained the Lakers' 127-96 win by telling LakersNation that, simply, "We wanted to beat some haters tonight."

Young's premature-celebration fail does have some competition in the race for this NBA season's greatest lowlight -- from himself. It was just over three months ago that the man called Swaggy P delivered this incredible layup attempt:

Until Young gets fined for untying opponents' shoelaces on the court, however, he'll still be second to New York's J.R. Smith when it comes to the Internet's favorite NBA player.
