Target, whose data breach late last year compromised the accounts of up to 110 million customers, has hired a new CIO who used to be a tech adviser for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

Bob DeRodes, who also advised the U.S. Secretary of Defense and the U.S. Department of Justice, starts on May 5. He will replace Beth Jacob, who left in March. The company is still looking for a chief information security officer and a chief compliance officer, according to Reuters.
