Kevin Durant's mom just got one heck of a Mother's Day present -- she's the newest star of an NBA ad. (Her son being picked as MVP of the NBA season is a close second.)
Durant's emotional MVP acceptance speech touched upon a lot of people in his life, from his teammates to family members. But he closed out his speech by tearfully and humbly thanking the most important person: his mother.
"You made us believe, you kept us off the street, put clothes on our back, food on our table. You didn't eat, but made sure we ate," he said. "You sacrificed for us. You're the real MVP."
The NBA echoed Durant's sentiment in a Mother's Day message that shows Durant's mom cheering on the sidelines during her son's game. The spot first aired Thursday night during coverage of the NBA playoffs.
