Explore Minecraft-Created Westeros on a Virtual-Reality Treadmill

Scaling the wall isn't just for wildlings anymore.

The giant world of Westeros has already been created in Minecraft, but you can crank up the geek factor by actually walking through it.

A new promotional video for the Virtuix Omni, a treadmill that provides users with a 360-degree experience inside virtual worlds -- viewers are taken inside WesterosCraft, a Minecraft server painstakingly constructed to mimic the fictional world of Game of Thrones.

A Virtuix staff member is shown scaling The Wall, which separates Westeros from dangerous wilding territory, and then sliding down the other side.

While Minecraft has no official support for virtual reality, a few hacks have enabled some players to use an Oculus Rift development kit to play.
