Fall TV season will be here in a flash, so the CW today announced their premiere dates, and among the ones you should note on your date-keeping device of choice? Oct. 7, the series premiere of The Flash.
Based on the comic book and spun off from the network's wildly popular Arrow, The Flash stars Grant Gustin as the title hero who comes into his powers after a freak accident leaves him with superhuman speed.
The show premiered as a backdoor pilot during Arrow's second season and was officially picked up to series back in May -- although, it was considered a lock for a spot on the fall schedule for months prior. The episodes of Arrow featuring pre-powers Barry Allen are set to repeat on the network prior to The Flash's season premiere.
Joining Flash in the New Shows club at CW is Jane the Virgin, a comedy about a pregnant teenager.
Also notable on the full scheduled, released Monday, is a retrospective special for Supernatural, which is heading into Season 10. That is set to air Oct. 6, following the premiere of The Originals.
CW's premiere dates come on the heels of CBS putting out their fall schedule yesterday.
