Get ready to freak out because Shark Week is a quickly approaching.
To celebrate the annual shark-infested, weeklong television event, Discovery Channel released an amazing 30-second spot we could only wish was longer.

We don't like to use the word 'epic' often, but the commercial features a chum-tossing, shirtless man leading a swarm of sea life on chariot of sharks. To top it off, a mermaid lovingly rests at his feet. What else could we possibly ask for?

The ad ends with an aerial advertisement announcing this year's tagline, "King of Summer", as well as the date Shark Week kicks off, which will be Sunday August 10 at 8 p.m. EST.
We can only hope this year's event will be as awesome as this commercial.
