UPDATE: July 16, 4:45 p.m. ET: One source close to Adele told Billboard that there is "no truth in this [the album name or tour]" Mashable, however, has reached out to Adele's team and label to confirm what Adele's plans are and we will update this post accordingly.

Adele will once again set fire to the stage in 2015, following the release of her third studio album. The album, titled 25, and the tour will mark Adele's anticipated comeback.

The "Someone Like You" singer hasn't released an album or gone on tour since 2011. The album title represents the age at which she wrote the songs, similar to the formula she used for her massively successful debut and sophomore outings, 19 and 21.

The World Music Awards confirmed the news on its verified Twitter account.

In 2011, Adele's second album became the year's best seller, a feat it repeated in 2012. It won six Grammys and became the first album to go double platinum on iTunes in the United States. Adele also had a big 2012 and 2013, lending vocals to "Skyfall," the latest James Bond theme song that earned her a Golden Globe and Oscar.

Adele, now 26, previously teased the upcoming musical period piece in a tweet in May, cryptically hinting it would be released sometime in 2014.
