Here's Why MOBAs Are Taking Over the Gaming World

Games like League of Legends and Dota 2 have been inescapable forces in the gaming world, but those uninitiated to the genre might be left wondering why they're so popular.

Both these games are part of a genre called MOBAs, or "multiplayer online battle arenas." Not only are they converting gamers, and their dollars, by the millions, they're attracting publishers all over the world to develop games around this frenetically paced, highly competitive model.
