Another VMAs, another shocking Miley Cyrus moment.
This time, though, Cyrus wasn't making headlines for twerking. She used her Moonman-win to shed light on the problem of homeless youth in America. After Miley was announced as the winner for Video of the Year, she ushered her date Jesse to the stage to accept the award.
Jesse is a homeless teen currently living in Los Angeles, California. He shared his touching story with the audience, as a tearful Miley watched on.
"I’ve survived in shelters all over...Though I may have been invisible to you in the streets, I have a lot of the same dreams that brought many of you here tonight," Jesse said in the acceptance speech. "A dream you dream alone is only a dream. A dream you dream together is reality."
Jesse also announced a Prizeo campaign Miley has announced in support of "My Friends Place," a homeless center in Hollywood, California.
