On the eve of Sept. 11, President Obama gave a prime-time address to lay out his strategy on fighting the Islamic State, a new enemy in what has become an era of terrorism. The wounds are still fresh for many Americans, but especially those in New York City, where two tranquil pools fill the holes in the ground where the World Trade Center towers once stood. Like every year, we'll hear a solemn reading of the names. Moments of silence to mark the precise times of tragedy and stifled sobs of those still mourning.

As the entire nation pauses to mark the anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks, this is Ground Zero today...
