Alright, alright, al -- Vince Vaughn, what are you doing here?

After months of #TrueDetectiveSeasonTwo speculation, Vaughn and Colin Farrell will be starring in the sophomore season of True Detective, HBO confirmed on Tuesday. The two will follow in the footsteps of Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson.

McConaughey and Harrelson left big, award-nominated shoes to fill -- shoes that Vaughn and Farrell can't fill, according to the uproar on Twitter following the announcement.

But don't stress just yet. There are still two spots yet to be filled on True Detective, which could go to female leads.

As a last resort, let's hope Owen Wilson is a frequent guest star on the show and that the plot revolves around the murder of a guest at a wedding.
