LOS ANGELES -- T-minus five weeks until the release of Interstellar. But who's counting?

We are, after this fourth (and apparently final) trailer for Christopher Nolan's forthcoming space epic, which raises the stakes significantly for Matthew McConaughey's mission to find another home for the human race. In this movie, clock is ticking a lot faster than we thought.

"Your daughter's generation will be the last to survive on Earth," says Michael Caine, ratcheting up the urgency -- which is not lost on astronauts Cooper (McConaughey) and Brand (Anne Hathaway) as they explore the beyond.

And it's not like they've got all day.

"Our mission does not work if the people of Earth are dead by the time we pull it off," says Cooper. And if that's not heavy enough, Brand reminds him that "you might have to decide between seeing your children again and the future of the human race."

Chilling stuff. But the trailer ends on a hopeful note: "We'll find a way. We alway have."
