Create Glitch Art Videos For Our Vine Challenge

Fans of broken masterpieces and digital disruption, this challenge is for you.

Glitch art highlights digital faults and turns them into works of beauty. Though in recent years it's been done mostly in photographs, the feature exists in videos, too.

For this week's Mashable Vine Challenge, we want to see a stream of glitchy six-second videos. You can play with pixels in an animation or riff off last week's challenge and endlessly duplicate short frames using Vine's latest update.

Our example, below, plays with prisms, stones and water. We shot several frames and repeated them multiple times to create a glitch effect.

We're looking for random and creative submissions. The more broken, the better. Because no matter what, it's not a bug, it's art.

Upload your Vines by Tuesday, Oct. 7, at 10 a.m. ET using the hashtag #GlitchVideo. We'll revine a few of our favorite submissions, and feature more on Mashable.
