Bill Murray has been popping up everywhere lately, but with his chilly attitude toward a third Ghostbusters, it was a bit of a surprise to see him show up for a cast reunion. And you can bet he was asked about that sequel.

“It’s really hard to recreate something that was so beautiful, so wonderful,” Murray mused fondly about the possibility of a Ghostbusters III.

The cast of classic film (minus the late Harold Ramis) reunited Monday on The Today Show with host Al Roker, a lifelong fan of the franchise.

Murray did suggest Ghostbabes as the title the all-female reboot. "Ghostbuster Babes", co-star Sigourney Weaver corrected him.

The cast reminisced about driving around Manhattan in the Ecto-1. Murray said they had so much fun driving it that they'd keep going after a take ended, running red lights in Chinatown. “In the uniforms, with the car, even the cops thought we were above them somehow,” he explained.

Weaver told Roker that some of the scenes were ad-libbed, like when Murray's character tinkles a 'creepy' sound on the piano in a haunted apartment. The crew "barely made it through the end of the take" without cracking up.
