Taylor Swift repaid her loyal fans by rapping Kendrick Lamar

Taylor Swift sold 1.287 million copies of her new album 1989 between Oct. 27 and Nov. 2, making it the first and only album released in 2014 to go platinum, the million-copies-sold milestone.

So what did Taylor do to thank her loyal fans? She rapped Kendrick Lamar, of course. The singer posted a video to Instagram on Tuesday night that showed her lip-syncing in a car to Lamar's hit "Backseat Freestyle" while in her car.

Swift has been a self-proclaimed Lamar fan for years, even telling Rolling Stone that she listens to his song to "go from feeling victimized to feeling awesome."

It turns out Lamar has mutual respect for Swift, recently telling a radio station how much he enjoyed "Shake It Off." Since everything must come full circle, here's Lamar singing Swift's song:
