As protesters gathered once again at the Ferguson Police Department--which has become ground zero in recent months for demonstrators supporting Mike Brown--some lit an American flag on fire.

The flag-burning occurred in the wake of Darren Wilson's resignation from the Ferguson Police Department. Wilson, the officer who killed 18-year-old Brown, has been on administrative leave since the Aug. 9 shooting. Protests have been ongoing in Ferguson and across the country following the announcement Monday that a grand jury would not indict Wilson in relation to Brown's death.

Protests stretched from Boulder to Missouri to Washington, D.C. throughout the day, with some staging die-ins in the street.

On Saturday night, protesters at the Ferguson Police Department continued to chant oft-heard slogans, such as "Hey hey, ho ho, these killer cops have got to go."

Protesters also marched along South Florissant Road Saturday night, passing the Ferguson Brewing Company and other bars and restaurants.

Some marchers stopped to pose with National Guard members.
