Theatre and Peter Pan fans alike tuned into NBC on Thursday to relive a bit of their childhood by watching Peter Pan Live!, the network's first TV-musical production since last year's The Sound of Music.
As with any live television performance, tensions were high and critics were out in full force, especially since Girls actress Allison Williams, who played the title role of Peter Pan, told Time that viewers shouldn't hate-watch the performance.

Among the more talked about moments in the three-hour performance were a dancing Captain Hook (played by Christopher Walken), a lovable dog, a strange man in a crocodile suit and a potentially offensive representation of Native Americans.
