It's been nearly eight years since the troubled teen ensemble from FOX's The O.C. waved goodbye from their driveways in Newport (those who didn't die in dramatic fiery crashes, that is).
But each year when the holiday season rolls around, we're reminded of what is arguably the show's most lasting legacy (save for Ryan Atwood's death stare). Yes, that's right: Chrismukkah.
The show's Seth Cohen swore by three things: comic books, Death Cab for Cutie and his beloved brainchild, Chrismukkah. In 2003, he explained to Ryan that he never again had to choose between Christmas or Hanukkah -- he could have the best of both worlds.
And with that, a new holiday was born.
Cohen also introduced us to the yamaclaus (which you can actually buy), a Chrismukkah hybrid of the yarmulke and Santa hat, an emblem of the super-holiday.
Why should the Chrismukkah fun stop there? you may ask. It doesn't have to. We took it upon ourselves to create a list of Chrismukkah creations to accompany the yamaclaus.
As Cohen would say: "Dip a toe in the Chrismukkah pool. There's room for all of us."
