7-year-old legend sends NFL superstar an autographed jersey
Watch out, J.J. Watt -- there's a new number 99 in town. Credit: Patric Schneider

All-world defensive lineman J.J. Watt of the Houston Texans is the NFL's most-feared pass rusher, enjoying a mind-bogglingly good season (he's scored five touchdowns to go with his 16.5 sacks) and could become the first defensive player named MVP since Lawrence Taylor in 1986.

Seven-year-old Anthony Tarantelli -- apparently a football star in his own right -- is only mildly impressed.

Fans, especially young ones, often write their favorite stars in hopes of acknowledgement, autographs, memorabilia -- perhaps all three. But young Mr. Tarantelli pulled an all-time classic boss move by recently sending Watt a signed jersey of his own.

Watt enthusiastically shared Tarantelli's letter and gift via Twitter on Monday night:

Here's the (lightly edited) text of that letter, if it's hard to parse:

Dear JJ:

I am 7 years old. My name is Anthony Tarantelli and I am your biggest fan. People call me J.J. because I also play DE and TE like you. I wear number 99 like you too. I was the most feared rusher in my league this year. I am sending you my autographed game jersey so you will know me when I am a famous NFL player.

99 rocks!

Your friend Anthony

Anthony Tarantelli, you the real MVP.
