Blake Shelton is going to get up from his Voice chair to hit the SNL stage later this month, the show announced Tuesday.
Jan. 24 will mark the first time the country singer has hosted an episode of the show, which this season is celebrating its 40th year.

Shelton, who just closed out a victorious season of the Voice, will also act as the episode's musical guest -- making him the first host to pull double duty this season.

SNL returns Jan. 17 with an episode hosted by Kevin Hart with musical guest Sia.
