For a while, we've heard that the much-hyped Apple Watch would be arriving on shelves in early 2015.

That timeline just got a bit more specific: According to a report from 9to5Mac, the smartwatch will be available for purchase in March.

Citing various anonymous sources close to the company, 9to5Mac reports that Apple will begin an "extensive testing program" with its Apple Store employees in mid-February to prepare for the March launch.

Representatives from Apple Stores all across the country will journey to either Cupertino, California (where Apple is headquartered), or Austin, Texas, to get hands-on experience with the watch. This program will reportedly last from Feb. 9 to Feb. 16.

Since the Apple Watch was unveiled in September, the tech giant has been perfecting the technology by running the device's battery through a ringer of tests, as well improving the charging mechanisms, per the report.

The Apple Watch is priced at $349 for the lowest-end edition, but rumors peg luxury iterations of the device at much higher price points. The gold watch, for example, allegedly costs between $4,000 and $5,000.
