LAS VEGAS -- You love your standing desk! You wish you could take that vertical workspace with you, getting those ergonomic benefits and statuesque feeling wherever and whenever you choose to be productive.

The StandStand makes that happen. It's three pieces of plywood that assemble to create a tiny desk for your laptop, elevating it a foot or so off the table it's on -- essentially turning any desk into a standing one.

The stand comes in basic birch ($69) or beautiful bamboo ($99), but in either case it's light (1.5-2 pounds), and it'll fit into most laptop bags. Three sizes are available -- 9, 12 and 14 inches -- so you can choose your model based on your height. Assembly is so simple your elementary-school self could do it. Bonus: The slots on the the top piece make it look like a contorted face, sure to amuse that same elementary-school self.

Besides hardcore standing desk fans, the StandStand is good for dabblers -- people who might want to stand while working for short bits, but not necessarily full time. It certainly makes it easier to stay productive when your smartwatch or fitness tracker bothers you about sitting too long.

After getting more than 10x its Kickstarter goal this past fall, the StandStand is on sale now.
