Hundreds of thousands of people took part in marches and demonstrations in support of the victims of the wave of attacks in France that started Wednesday with a raid on the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo that left 12 people dead.

An estimated 700,000 people marched in cities and towns all over France, according to the country's Interior Ministry, after a week of terror that closed with 20 people dead, including the two Charlie Hebdo attackers and another man who held hostages in a kosher supermarket in eastern Paris.

Another big demonstration is scheduled for Sunday in Paris. French President Francois Hollande as well as other world leaders, such as British Prime Minister David Cameron and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, are expected to attend.

On Saturday in Nice, more than 25,000 people marched in silence, according to reports and local authorities. The video below shows marchers breaking their silence to sing the French national anthem "La Marseillaise."
